Oh yeah. Just use the frames as layers, change opacity for onion-skinning, and save-for-web to make it a gif. The newer versions actually have this nice little animation window that i can preview 24 fps, in case i'm working on a larger 2d project that I'm exporting to After Effects. It's a huge time saver!
